I'm a Trend Setter!

I have never been a trend setter. Heck, I've never been a trend follower. Don't get me wrong - I've tried following trends before but I always failed miserably. Thankfully, most of my embarrassing attempts at being a trend setter or trend follower happened pre-picture cell phone. The only time that I have to be reminded of my failed attempts is when I get together with three of my life-long friends and they- I mean - we, laugh for about an hour about the time I wore... (HA! You didn't think I was actually going to share that little piece of juicy info did you?) (lets just say that it involved a backwards farmer style cap and fluffy bangs gone very very wrong) Had picture cell phones been around at that time I might have been forced to go and live alone in the mountains after my wardrobe choices were featured on Entertainment Tonight for ugliest outfit ever.

So I was completely floored when I found out that paying off debt and being frugal is trendy now! I'm actually, for the first time in my life, one of the cool kids! Okay, I, um, should probably use the term "cool" loosely because... well... ahem... I am writing a blog titled "This Little Piggy Bank Bought a House." That might have taken my "coolness level" down a few notches.

Thanks to the economic crisis I've realized a dream that I never even knew I had! To be "hip!" Woo hoo! Um... that "woo-hoo" was for being hip... not for the economic crisis... The economic crisis is not so much a woo-hoo as a waa-waa type of a deal. And I don't mean waa-waa in a mocking way, it just went with woo-hoo... Excuse me while I go try to do the Heimlich maneuver on myself. I'm choking on my foot.

Well, on that note, maybe I should just end this while I'm ahead - before my coolness meter goes back to zero.
